Program cost
The program fee buys clinician time: the assessment, the prescribing decision, the written dose schedule and the reviews. It does not buy the medication, which is a separate bill from a pharmacy.
What you pay for
The assessment, which is the longest single appointment and the one that decides everything else. Then the prescribing decision and a written schedule for stepping the dose up.
Then the reviews. How many, how often, and whether you can raise something between them is where clinics differ most, and it is the specific thing worth asking about when comparing prices.
A very low headline figure usually means fewer reviews, no messaging between appointments, or the medication quoted separately without saying so. There is more in Medication cost, Insurance and coverage and Medical weight loss program.
Comparing
Number of reviews, whether messaging between appointments is covered, and whether the assessment is charged separately.
Program fee and pharmacy price are different transactions. A single quoted figure is usually hiding one of them.
Weight management is long term. A monthly figure compared over a year tells you more than the first month does.
Some plans reimburse part of the clinician time even where they will not fund the medication. Worth asking.
Value
The difference between a supply service and a program shows up in month two, when a dose needs holding, a side effect needs managing, or another prescription needs adjusting. That is what the fee is buying.
It is a fair question to ask what happens if treatment does not work, whether switching molecule is included, and who you speak to when something feels wrong at nine on a Friday evening. Physician-supervised care covers the next part, alongside Non-surgical management and Free assessment.

What is included, what is extra, and how to compare clinics.
Written breakdown before I paid anything. The cheaper place I had rung would not put anything in writing.
Not the cheapest. Once I worked out the cheap one included two reviews total, it stopped being a comparison.
Paused for three months for personal reasons. Handled properly rather than me just stopping.
The value showed up in month three when my dose needed holding and someone actually answered.

The free check comes first. If you are a candidate, the program fee and the likely medication cost are both quoted before anything is prescribed.
